Pastor Pete James, along with his son Andrew James and church member Jeff Hunt, will attend the Lausanne Movement's Third Congress on World Evangelisation in Cape Town, South Africa, from October 16 to 25.

More than 4,000 people from 200 countries are going to the conference. Peter, Andrew and Jeff are three  of 400 people from the United States selected to attend.

The conference is intended as a call to action for evangelization around the world, and also to promote unity and service. Leaders will discuss pressing issues facing the church, and develop new strategies to enable more people to hear the church's message.

Upon his return, Pastor James will make a presentation about how the Lausanne Movement affects VPC.
