At Saturday's Darrell Winslow Regatta, featuring teams across Virginia  and Maryland,  the James Madison High School crew team once again demonstrated their command of the water with  ll three women's boats taking first place, and the men's first and second eights placing in first and second place respectively.

All three women's teams had open water between their boats and the second place finishers. The men's second eight won first place in a photo finish, where Madison was declared the winner over Bethesda- Chevy Chase and beat rival Oakton for the first time this season. The men's first eight took second place in a competitive final, just behind Bethesda- Chevy Chase.

In only their second regatta, the men's freshman eight advanced to the finals with a third place finish in their heat and a  fifth place finish final. The women's freshman eight fought hard in the final stretch of their heat and just missed advancing to the finals.

Due to a late starting arrival, the men's third eight was unable to compete in its first heat, but  later demonstrated their strength by cruising to a first place finish in an exhibition race at  the close of the regatta.
