Madison field hockey team opened the Liberty District Tournament with a 3-0 win over Langley High on Tuesday night.

Junior Alex Condon led the Warhawks with two goals, with Kierra Sweeney knocking in the third. 

Leah Cohen, the Warhawks' senior goalkeeper, and her defensive line kept the Saxons scoreless for the second time this season. The Warhawks defeated the Saxons 4-0 on Oct. 8.

The Warhawks entered the tournament in fourth place with a 3-3 record against Liberty District competition. They must defeat No. 1 Fairfax Rebels, who are undefeated in the district, to advance to the title game. The match begins 7:30 p.m. today at Madison.
