Metro, Hot Lanes Construction Closes Roads This Week

Westbound I-66 Closed at Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) Overnights This Week

I-66 westbound is scheduled to close overnights between the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) split and Leesburg Pike (Route 7) Monday, Feb. 7 through Saturday, Feb. 12, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project construction.

Through traffic will be detoured on to the Dulles Connector Road westbound, then on to Route 123 south toward Tysons Corner, to a right turn on to the ramp to the Capital Beltway south toward Richmond. Drivers can then rejoin I-66 from the Beltway. Local traffic can use exits prior to the detour area.

Lane Closures of Southbound Route 123 at Dulles Connector Road Expected

Bridge construction is crossing over the southbound lanes of Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123) just south of the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267). During the coming weeks, this work will require intermittent closures of one right lane during daytime hours, and two right lanes overnights as crews lift bridge segments into place and work overhead. Detours are not necessary, but drivers should expect some delays and use extreme caution when traveling through this area.

Westpark Bridge Closures Sunday through Friday

The Westpark Bridge, which connects Westpark Drive to Tysons Corner Center over Route 123, will be closed Sunday, Feb. 6, through Friday, Feb. 11, from 11p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Traffic on Westpark Drive will be directed to detour by staying on Westpark, to turn left on to International Drive, then left on Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) to enter Tysons Corner Center on the right. An alternate route would be to use Tysons Boulevard, which also allows drivers to turn left on International Drive to Chain Bridge Road.

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south 

Ramp closed Monday - Wednesday nights from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pier work.

Expect daytime delays in the Tysons Corner area along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267), Leesburg Pike (Route 7) and Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123). S

I-495 south at Exit 45, Dulles  Connector Rd. (Route 267) - Three left lanes will close Sunday night for overhead sign removal. Expect full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

I-495 north to Exit 45, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Monday- Thursday nights for steel beam erection.

Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north - Ramp closed Sunday - Saturday nights for bridge work.

Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection.
