Readers Choice: Best Ice Cream
In this series, we'll ask you to vote for the "best" of some of your favorite places around town. This week: Where is the best ice cream?
Who has the best cup of coffee? Who is the best grocer?
Where's the best place for family fun?
Vienna Patch is asking readers to share their favorite people, places and businesses in Vienna in a series called "Readers Choice."
Here's how it will work: On Monday morning, we'll publish a poll and list choices for you to vote on. You'll also be able to "write in" a nomination in the comments box.
You'll be able to vote until Friday at 9 a.m. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.
What will the winner get? Bragging rights! And a framed certificate to let customers know about the title, too.
This week, we're asking you to pick the best ice cream in town. Here are your choices (if we forgot any, shout out in the comments and we'll add them to the poll).
- Baskin Robbins
- Coldstone Creamery
- Dairy Queen
- Molly's Yogurt
- Nielsen's Frozen Custard
- Plush Gelato
- Red Mango
Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Wow, I guess it's true, any publicity IS good publicity; get indicted for tax evasion and see your popularity go higher than ever. I wish my business was a savvy as Nielsen's.

What does this have to do with ice cream? Nielsen's custard is popular because it's good. I can't even taste the tax evasion.

I went into Nielsen's one time with a gift certificate for a free ice cream. The place smelled like milk gone sour, to the point where my kids didn't even want to stay there to order. I have never been back.
