Road Rage Incident Ends At Subway

Vienna man accused of assault

A Vienna man was arrested for assault after a road rage incident turned physical inside the Subway restaurant on Maple Avenue.

Gregory Hise, 59, of Vienna, was issued a summons for assault after the incident.

An employee of the restaurant, at 222 Maple Ave W., called police around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27, saying a man had just assaulted someone at the store.

Police responded and discovered two people had been involved in a road rage incident earlier in the evening. When one of them entered the Subway, the other followed. The pair fought verbally before the argument became physical.

Police located the alleged assailant, Hise, and issued him a summons for assault. He signed it without incident.
