Vienna Police Investigate String of Mailbox Vandalisms

Incidents occurred in late Feburary in southwest Vienna.

 

Police are investigating a string of mailbox vandalisms in southwest Vienna.

Two residents reported between 10 p.m. Feb. 22 and 7:55 a.m. Feb. 23, two residents on Plum Street reported their mailboxes were knocked from their wooden posts.

Police also responded at 11:07 p.m. Feb. 22 to a call on Elmar Drive, where a resident reported hearing a loud bang and what sounded like a male’s voice. The resident looked outside and noticed that his mailbox, along with several other mailboxes in the area had been damaged. 

Police believe the cases are related. They tried to contact the residents whose mailboxes were damaged, but not all residents responded to his attempts.
