Update: Glyndon Street Reopen after Water Main Break
Third break in five days closed street at John Marshall Drive NE
Update 5:47 p.m.: Vienna Police Officer Gary Lose said the street is now reopen.
Original 1:37 p.m. Town of Vienna crews are on site at a water main break on Glyndon Street NE, the third residents have seen across town since the Fourth of July.
The intersection of the street with John Marshall Drive NE is closed while crews repair the roads, according to a town alert.
The break is the third since Wednesday, when a water main break shut down nearby Hill Top Road NE and left residents without water on the first of several consecutive days across the region with temperatures at or near 100.
The second was reported on Saturday, when Kingsley Road between Nutley Street and Meadow Lane was closed for several hours as crews made repairs.
One resident emailed Patch this morning saying Glyndon Street was closed from MacArthur Avenue to the town's Northside property yard, minutes later reporting "they are digging a huge hole."
Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
