More than 100,000 customers across Northern Virginia lost power Saturday after strong storms swept through the area.

Fairfax County police are installing generators at Rt. 50 and Gallows Road, along with other intersections around the area.

The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for the Northern Virginia area that expired Saturday at 4:15 p.m. A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued. It has since expired.

Several readers reported a tree down on Cedar Lane at the south side of the Cottage Street intersection, blocking both lanes of traffic.
