Core members of the rock n roll band Marah (David Bielanko & Christine Smith) have musically directed an album of lost and forgotten folk songs collected in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania (circa 1850-1910) The writing was admittedly fragmented and inaccurate thus giving the two complete liberty in re-inventing, re-imagining and re-working each "song" back to life as a rambling, ramshackle collection of rocking folk music. It was simply there to be done.

The Mountain Minstrelsy band was culled from a small Pennsylvania town called Millheim and features a nine year old fiddle prodigy Augustus Tritsch (Gus!) Together the six piece band creates a big old fashioned sound while continuing to employ Dave & Christine's Rock n Roll learnings...banjos, fiddles, pump organ, upright bass etc. You're prolly gonna wanna see this.
