Take Five: Top Five Reader Comments of the Week

Each week, Patch readers leave insightful and interesting comments on our stories, our posts on Facebook, and our Tweets. They bring a variety of perspectives and encourage discussion throughout the community. Below are the top five reader comments of the week in this week's "Take Five."

5. Carol Lewis commented on Made in Vienna: The Hope Center

"The Hope Center is wonderful, staff and doctors alike. They fixed my dear Holly's leg when she ruptured a tendon and helped us with pain management for a year and a half afterwards. Always there, always helpful, always kind."

4. Brenda Gayle Massey commented on the Facebook post for Fairfax Board Approves Bus Route 432 in Tysons, Vienna

"I use East to Creek Crossing up to 4 times a day and that intersection is already crowded and small. It's only going to get worse with bus traffic. On top of that you have lots of people walking, running and riding bikes right around there. This is a very unsettling idea."

3. Emily Adams Kroff commented on the Facebook post for Should Fairfax County Elementary School Return to Full-Day Mondays?

"When my kids were first starting school I thought the half day Mondays were crazy, but now we have started using those Monday afternoons to schedule after-school activities like Girl Scouts and dance classes, and it has been nice to be able to have those things done in the afternoons and still time for dinner/homework in the evenings."

2. Adam Bechtold tweeted @ViennaPatch on July 25 to warn Viennans of a fire scare at a local coffee shop:

"@ViennaPatch lot of smoke coming from roof of Caffe Amouri on Church St. this AM. Fire Dept. on scene."

1. Ashley Coster Harrison commented on the Facebook post for Should Fairfax County Elementary School Return to Full-Day Mondays?

"As a teacher, I say no. I fully appreciate having Mondays to attend meetings and professional development workshops. I am a parent and while I sympathize with the childcare dilemma- it's a known fact that Mondays are half days so plans should be made in advance to secure childcare."
