Open to the public. Monday, February 24, 2014, 1:00 PM  at Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Upstairs 2589 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna 22181  See map Free "Good Guys in the Garden." Come hear Dr. Michael Raupp speak to the Ayr Hill Garden Club .  The title of his talk refers to some of the bugs he has been studying and explaining throughout his professional career.  A Professor of Entomology and Extension Specialist at the University of Maryland, he has appeared frequently as a expert on radio and TV, including NPR, Good Morning America, BBC and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Dr. Raupp has also posted "Bug of the Week," available on-line, for eight years.  This presentation on the history of bugs and how they contribute to our lives and gardens may change a lot of minds.
