Blog on Vienna Patch

Vienna Patch is searching for bloggers to share their voices

In early May, Vienna Patch will be making room for local bloggers on the site.

We're looking for bloggers who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage our readers in discussions.

While Patch is a news and information site, it's also an online conversation about your community. Blogs will help us deepen that conversation and give a voice to as many of our readers as possible -- whether you're writing, or chiming in through the comments.

  • Are you a foodie on a trek through all of Vienna's restaurants?
  • Are you an expert craftsman or hobbyist who can share do-it-yourself tips?
  • Do you have strong opinions about local government?
  • Can you just make us all laugh?
  • Do you tell local stories through photos? Video? Drawings?

Then, we want to hear from you.

This is not a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

If you have a blog already, we don't want to change what you already do --  Patch won't own what you post, so your writing can run as it normally would on your existing site. Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience. But if you don't have a blog, we can help you start one, too.

Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.

My role as editor would be to review the posts submitted to Vienna Patch to ensure quality. I may make small spelling and grammar changes to help your blog shine. I might correct obvious typos, but I will not be editing them for content.

If you'd like to chat about the opportunity to share your unique voice with our readers, let us know by emailing at erica.hendry@patch.com.
