Description: Christ Church Vienna will be celebrating Good Friday with a Tenebrae "Shadows" Service. Join us we reflect on the cross of Christ, including a dramatic reading of the Passion narrative.

Passion Of The Lord Good Friday Service

Description:"On this day, when “Christ our paschal lamb was sacrificed,” what had long been promised in signs and figures was at last revealed and brought to fulfillment. The true lamb replaced the symbolic lamb, and the many offerings of the past gave way to the single sacrifice of Christ. We gather, venerate the cross, pray for the many, and as we receive Holy Communion offer who we are to our loving God."

"Benjamin's Box" Activity for Families with Children
Where: , 124 Park Street NE, 4 to 5:30 p.m., 3rd floor;
Description: "This evening will provide an age-appropriate way of sharing the meaning of Good Friday with your children.  Benjamin is a little boy who observes the events of Holy Week and finds a token from each to place in his treasure box.  The children will follow a similar journey.  As they travel from station-to-station, they will hear about Benjamin’s experience and gather their own Holy Week artifacts.  This family event will be a great opportunity for parents and children to share the true meaning of Easter with each other."

Also, the final sentence of the description is missing a word; it should be "Pastor Bob Albritton will share the Easter message." Thanks so much!
