This week, Frugal Family came up with great deals on meals, crafts, free movie popcorn and a free book.

 1. Make a special craft for Dad at Michaels (311 Maple Ave E, Vienna)!

Deal: Starting Saturday and running through June 18, Michael's is offering Father's Day Projects every day. Some projects are completely FREE, while others require a small purchase (such as a frame), then you get all the decorative materials. Projects are for children ages 3 and up, and there's no registration--you just show up.

Good through: June 18, 2011.

2. Dig in to free popcorn at Regal Theaters (closest is at 4110 West Ox Road, Fairfax)!

Deal: See if you can be one of the one million people who will get some freebie popcorn at the movies this summer. The first one million to check in here will receive the coupon on their Smartphone, but note the coupon MUST be used the same day it is received.) After you get the coupon, simply text “popcorn” to 35350 each time you want free popcorn this summer.

Good through: August 31, 2011 at 11:59 PM EDT or until one million coupons have been redeemed (whichever comes first), at participating Regal Cinemas, United Artists theaters or Edwards theatres locations. 

3. Celebrate Quizno’s (320 Maple Ave W, Vienna) 30th anniversary with big savings.

Deal: Print out four coupons – for a  Free Chip or Cookie and Regular Fountain Drink; Free Sub or Regular Salad; 2 Meals For $9.99; and $1 Off Regular Sub or $2 Off Large Sub.

Good through: July 10, 2011

4. Sign up for Pottery Barn Kids’ (Tysons Corner Center) summer reading program and get a free book!.

Deal: If you kid, aged 10 and under, can complete one of the reading lists  , they can turn it in for a FREE book!

Good through: August 24, 2011.

5. Support Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Vienna, and dig in to some serious BBQ grub!

Deal: $20 for $40 worth of BBQ from Red, Hot & Blue (4150 Chain Bridge Rd., Fairfax), via the school fundraiser www.fundson.com.

Good through: Purchase voucher through www.fundson.com by Sunday; voucher good through December 8, 2011.
