Last week's rain and cooler temperatures now have jump-started the fall dropping of leaves (called abscission) in many Vienna neighborhoods.
The 2013 leaf collection in the town of Vienna starts Oct. 28. Crews will start in the northern part of town and move south.
There will be three collections this fall between Oct. 28 and January 2014. You can rake your leaves to the curb at any point between Oct. 28 and Dec. 31 for collection. Or, you can rake up your leaves and place them in clear plastic bags or paper yard waste bags that will be picked up with your regular collection.
