The Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church and East Falls Church Metrorail stations along the Orange Line will be closed beginning Friday at 10 p.m. for Silver Line testing.
The stations will shut through closing time late Sunday night, the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project announced.
The closings are taking place to permit signal system testing in preparation for the opening of the Silver Line, as well as track maintenance.
Phase I of the Silver Line, which will run from Tysons Corner to Reston's Wiehle Avenue, is slated to open in early 2014.
Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Vienna and Ballston. Express buses will also operate non-stop between these two stations. Riders should allow at least 25 minutes of additional travel time.
Local buses will operate between Vienna and Ballston, making intermediary stops at Dunn Loring, West Falls Church and East Falls Church. Please allow 15 minutes of travel time for each station stop, officials said.
