UPDATE: The National Weather Service has changed its earlier Freeze Watch to a Freeze Warning. The warning is in effect Friday from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. The NWS says to expect low temperatures of 30 to 32 degrees.

The warning includes this wording:

Get your coats handy and bring in your plants. The National Weather Service Thursday morning issued a Freeze Watch for Fairfax County, mainly for areas west of Interstate 95, according to the NWS.

Will we see temperatures of 32 degrees or below?

Here's what the warning states on the NWS Web site:

...FREEZE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... * TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S. * IMPACTS...UNPROTECTED VEGETATION THAT IS SENSITIVE TO FREEZING TEMPERATURES HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE KILLED OR DAMAGED. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE. THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
