Photos: Vienna Baptist Church's Living Nativity

For nearly 45 years, annual event has been a Vienna Christmas tradition

On Sunday night, members of the took church members and nearby residents back in time as they told the story of Christmas with a live nativity scene.

The production, which involves church members of all ages, has been a tradition since 1967, when the Church on Marshall Road Southwest began telling the story of Christmas through carols and the biblical Nativity story, using choral music, costumes and live animals to enhance the presentation.

After the production, church and community members gather in the church's Fellowship Hall to celebrate the holiday.
