George C Marshall High School Presents The Musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone" at 7:30 pm at the school, 7731 Leesburg Pike. Tickets are $5.

STICK MEN ft. Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Markus Reuter take the stage at 7:30 pm at , 224 Maple Ave W. Tickets are $25.

Saturday

Enjoy food, beer and wine from 30 local restaurants and hear some great local music at the first ever, organized by the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Admission is free, festival runs 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wesley Preschool's Annual Yard Sale & Bake Sale begins at 8 a.m. at, 711 Spring St SE.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE : BENEFITS MISSION TRIP 2012 * Across from Taste of VIENNA begins at 8:00 am at 301 Center St S, Vienna,

Bring the family to the Whole Earth Festival at 10 a.m., 2709 Hunter Mill Rd. The event is run by Discovery Woods preschool. Activities include

• Educational Woods Walks (scavenger hunts, bird songs, wild edibles)
• Hands-on demonstrations with real animals
• Screening of the nationally renowned documentary Mother Nature’s Child
• Yoga in the Forest
• Sensory and art activity stations
• Djembe drumming with Kristen and Kweku
• Hands-on traditional food demonstrations (fermenting, juicing, wild edibles)
• Rock climbing wall
• Photos with Portrait Playtime in the magical woods
• Vendors and artisans

Along with a local seasonal lunch. Much of the event is free, but tickets are required for some activities and for lunch. Tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Sunday

Break out your sneakers for the Vienna Elemetary PTA 8th Annual 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk which begins at 8 a.m. at , 128 Center St S. Registration is $25.

Walk on the Hill returns from 2 to 5 p.m. in Historic Windover Heights District. Rain Date: May 6. Walk the gardens of historic homes in Windover Heights. Refreshments will be served and musical entertainment provided by Vienna Community Band and Green Hedges School. For more information, visit the Walk on the Hill event page.

At the event, the Ayr Hill Garden Club invites visitors to a Standard Flower Show, on Sunday, April 29 from 2 to 5 pm.  The Show will take place at Green Hedges School, 415 Windover Avenue, NW., one half block from the Windover Avenue/Lewis Street intersection.
