Friday

Take the whole family to the weekly Movies In The Park at . The movie begins at 8:45 p.m. This week, the town is showing "How To Train Your Dragon". In case of poor weather conditions, call 703-255-7842 to check if the movie is still on.

It's the last weekend for the 3rd Annual Art Silent Auction, sponsored by the  Shepherd's Center of Oakton-Vienna and the  Vienna Art Society. It's open through 4 p.m. today at 115 Pleasant Street. More than  50 local artist have donated original artwork to benefit  the Shepherd's Center, which provides both services and enrichment to local seniors.  There will also be a jewelry boutique with hand made items for sale. Bring your lawn chairs to the Town Green for another Summer On The Green Concert Series. The Kingsley Winter Band will play rock and oldies beginning at 6:30 pm. For weather cancellations, call 703-255-7842

It's weekly where customers choose which records the shop spins from its wall collection (on a real record player). There are board games on hand, and customers are encouraged to bring their own, too. Join the fun from 7 to 10 p.m. at the shop, on 107 Church Street, N.E.

Dust off your skates and bring the family to the town's which runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Friday at 126 Cherry Street.

Have you ever wanted to be in a Rock show? Starting at 8 p.m., hosts "a night of rock and roll like you've never seen- Then, The Big Guise Band (fronted by The Soundry's own Melissa Branin) will do a set of classic rock, blues, and other modern classics." Then they'll turn the mic over to you. At 10 p.m., it's live karaoke. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at the Soundry, 316 Dominion Road N.E. Tickets are $6 at the door.

 

Saturday

This week at the which runs from 8 a.m. to noon in the caboose parking lot, New Family Naturals and Chase Your Tail are back at the market. Pearl Fine Tea may also be on hand, and Gypsy Hill Foods takes its only break of the summer this week. Organizers say all the "temptations" at the market –donuts, crepes, snow cones – are in the back.
