Your Guide To Vienna Oktoberfest

Town's annual fall festival kicks off Saturday

The Vienna Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Vienna will host the annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Keep this festival guide handy before you hit the road.

GETTING AROUND

The festival centers around Church Street, spilling into the Caboose Lot, Dominion Road, Mill Street and the Town Green.

The following roads will be closed during the festival:

vendors will begin to move in early in the morning, and pack up after the festival is over.

  • Church Street, between Center and Mill Streets
  • Mill Street, between Maple Avenue and Church Street
  • Dominion Road, between Church Street and Ayr Hill Road

Parking:

Your best bet is to walk or bike to the festival, but if you're going to drive:

The Vienna Community Center: Walk down the bike trail to Church Street.

The Patrick Henry Library: Cross Maple Avenue at Center Street or the bike trail

Vienna Elementary School Lot

Limited handicapped parking will also be available; inquire about it with festival volunteers.

WHILE THERE

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no admission fee.

Vendor booths will line Church and Mill Streets and Dominion Road.

There are several kids activities, including a Leg house, moon bounce, face painting and fire trucks on Mill Street between Church Street and Maple Avenue. These activities, along with the Kids Music Stage ,will center around the Town Green.

The main stage is located at the intersection of Church Street and Dominion Road. Fat Chance is one of the groups performing. They're expected to take the stage around 5 p.m.

Food and beer will also be available. Alcohol is restricted to the beer garden, located in the caboose parking lot.
