The grandstand is in front of the Town Green. Traditionally, residents and spectators begin to put their blankets down along Maple Avenue between East Street and Lawyers Road in the hours leading up to the parade.

The Town of Vienna offered these tips for spectators
• Do not place any items on Maple Avenue prior to noon on the
day of the parade.
• When placing items, do not put them in bus shelters as they
need to be clear for bus users during the day. Items placed
in bus shelters prior to 5 p.m. on the day of the event may be
moved for the safety of bus users.
• Keep items off the sidewalks and benches so that pedestrians
can walk and use the benches without having to move or walk
over items.
• Secure all items to ensure that weather conditions do not cause
them to blow into the roadway or sidewalks.

CAN I MARCH?

Kids in costumes can march as part of the "Costumed Kids" group. They need adult supervision.

The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Virginia Commerce Bank  at 374 Maple Ave. E. They'll walk down Maple avenue, turn left on Center Street and end at the Patrick Henry Library Parking Lot. Participating children will receive a goodie bag as they pass through the lot, while supplies last.

SPECIAL GUESTS

This year, the parade will honor four long-time businesses as Grand Marshalls: Money & King Funeral Home, the Vienna Rexall Drug Store, The Vienna Inn and Cuppett Performing Arts Center.

The parade will also feature the Washington Redskins Marching Band, along with The Capital's Slapshot and the Nationals' Racing Presidents and mascot Screech.
