Always a great event for the Town, just a shame so many people put blankets and towels out in the darkness of morning and then don't show up until minutes before the parade. Really makes the entire Town look trashy, not to mention they're impeding sidewalks and business access points in a few spots. A few years ago wind blew tarps and blankets into business parking lots, access roads, and even onto Maple, causing a bit of an issue. Wish the Town would stop the practice of squatting on spots with a towel all day. Seriously people, just show up an hour or two early if it's that important to you; stop being so lazy.

Really... makes the town look trashy to have many people excited for a parade? Sure, it's a bother that it gets crowded and that it is hard to reserve a spot since so many people are early, but generating excitement among the town's citizenry cannot be all too terrible.

To the first person's point, it wasn't windy today (that I noticed), but there was a chair in a bag and a blanket/tarp that had moved or rolled over to block part of a Walgreens entrance/exit...certainly made for a little gridlock and possibly unsafe maneuvers when people were going in/out. But that's more on people being stupid and setting up far too close to driveways and curbs, which I would remove if I owned a business impacted by it.
