YOUR PHOTOS: Vienna Blanketed in Snow Thursday

Vienna woke up to a thick blanket of snow Thursday morning after a snowstorm that started Wednesday night that brought 12 inches of snow to Vienna, according to snow totals posted Thursday morning by the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Thursday in Vienna is for rain and sleet before 4pm, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High near 32. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Thursday night forecast is for snow, freezing rain, and sleet, becoming all snow after 7pm. Low around 26. West wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday for Vienna.

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Friday for Vienna.

Friday is expected to be sunny with a high of 39 degrees
