A Full House: Former Sitcom Star Brings Stand-Up Show to Jammin Java

Once known as TV's Uncle Joey, Dave Coulier will be performing his new comedy act in the popular Vienna café.

Fans of the long-running ABC television show Full House know him better Uncle Joey, the nutty uncle in the sitcom family. But 18 years after the show's final episode, actor/comedian Dave Coulier is still making people laugh for a living.

Coulier will be at Jammin Java in Vienna on Sunday, Aug. 11 to perform his stand-up comedy routine. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

Mei Verba, spokesperson for Jammin Java, said Coulier is one of the biggest stars to perform at the venue in recent months, saying that in "terms of prominence among other guests, (he's a) 10."

Tickets have been on sale since the show was announced on June 13, and Verba advises anyone interested in attending the show to buy tickets in advance.

"Tickets are selling well," Verba said. "We always advise to purchase tickets in advance in order to guarantee entry at the door."

Jammin Java has plenty of good places to enjoy the show, including reserved VIP seating, "premier seating," at one of eight tables in front of the stage, general admission seating (to be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis) and seating in the new Lobby Bar at the front of the café.

Tickets for VIP or Premier seats are $25, while general admission or seats in the Lobby Bar are $20. The Lobby Bar will open an hour earlier at 5 p.m. for those with tickets in the bar.

Coulier is part of the Clean Guys of Comedy, and his show is appropriate for audiences of all ages.

Joining Coulier will be special guests Jimmy Merritt and Jon Yeager, as well as host for the evening Reggie Melbourgh.

According to Verba "limited tickets will be available the day of at the door." But to order tickets in advance, visit the café's website for purchase information.
