At an early age(middle school) these musicians began their adventure with a passion for Blues music which far exceeded a typical young musicians' fervor for the genre. FeelFree's music was largely impacted by the Blues, a musical genre Hulehan and Pfeiffer fell in love with early-on in their musical years, and Reggae, a powerful music of social consciousness and pulsating rhythms. They have managed to stamp their own approach to reggae and blues music by including a funk, rock blend creating a fresh genre of roots music.
