Somewhere between alternative and folk lies the music of For Mercy, whose soaring harmonies, shimmering guitars and sophisticated rhythms made them a favorite on the DC/VA music scene and a fixture at East Coast colleges, festivals and clubs ranging from The Bayou to The Birchmere. After several successful independent releases and hundreds of shows, the members of For Mercy turned their attention to other projects. Now, for the first time in years, they'll take the stage together at Jammin Java for a special concert to benefit Robbie Schaefer's One Voice, a non-profit organization that promotes peace and cultural awareness among children through music and multimedia expression.
