Iris Divine + Rome In A Day + Timelord + A Sound of Thunder

Hailed by the influential metal blog MetalSucks and others, IrisDivine returns in 2011 with their second EP, 'Convergence". The band proves that catchy, almost-pop vocal melody can coexist with modern metal riffs and complex rhythms, and that 'progressive' need not mean endless guitar solos and pretentious songwriting. Dual lead singers and keyboard textures add yet more dimension to Iris Divine's already unique and memorable sound. Armed with a razor-sharp live show honed over countless performances, Iris Divine is ready to bring their compelling songs to an ever-widening audience in 2011 and beyond.

They also released a full-length album 'From HereAfter' which is currently available on iTunes and Rhapsody. As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Rome In A Day, the internationally touring melodic metal band from the DC metro area, couldn’t agree more.

TIMELORD is a technical thrash/speed-metal band based in Northern Virginia USA. TIMELORD was formed in January 2005 by guitarist Aaron Richert and guitarist/vocalist Matt Aub. Drummer extraordinaire Rick Hodes and bass prodigy Joe Konczal stepped in commandingly to fill the unoccupied rhythm section. The band immediately began assembling the very best heavy-metal compositions they could create. Intros, outros, verses, etc. were revised to perfection. The resulting songs were recorded and compiled into an incredibly impressive debut album entitled "Regeneration." Between 2005 and 2009, TIMELORD opened for Gamma Ray,The Marc Rizzo Band, Edguy and Primal Fear. The band also played at local shows in Virginia,Maryland and New Jersey. In November 2008,TIMELORD performed at the Keep It True XI Festival in Wuerzburg,Germany. Other bands on the bill were: Flotsam & Jetsam,Artillery,Girlschool,Tokyo Blade and Nasty Savage. In August 2010,original bassist Joe Konczal resigned from the band. Kyle Augustine has since taken over the bass guitar duties. MUSIC ANALYSIS: TIMELORD's compositions are sonically dense, filled with dark minor keys and heavily orchestrated rhythm guitar work. The band's multi-faceted etudes leave listeners entranced- never knowing what lies behind the next cymbal crash. The abundant use of melodic chorus sections adds a strong European elegance to TIMELORD's aggressive speed-metal sound. In addition- tempo and meter changes inflect progressive concepts into the ensemble's commanding aural assault. As expected- all instruments are performed with razor-sharp surgical precision. Intelligent composition and songwriting, soaring vocal melodies, intricate water-tight rhythms, blazing guitar solos, rock-solid bass work and highly precise drumming are the core elements that form the grandiose resonance emanating from the dark domain of the TIMELORD.
