Vienna Elementary welcomed trio Nada Brahma to perform "The World Music Concert" at an assembly before the school Sept. 21.
This fantastic musical trio circumnavigated the globe, exploring the vital role that music plays in a variety of world cultures. The students and staff participated in the concert and experienced the sights and sounds of musical instruments from several regions of the world, including the Andes Mountains, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Australian Outback and beyond.
As a celebration of diversity, this highly interactive assembly offered a wonderful foundation for cross-cultural learning. The association with this group will continue throughout this fall, culminating in the winter concert where the students will perform some of the songs from these regions of the world.
