Viet Aroma, a new Vietnamese restaurant that opened last month in Vienna, will celebrate its new status with a ribbon-cutting Thursday.

The owner, Kim Lan T. Le is looking forward to being part of the Vienna business community and has this to say about his restaurant:

“Our family at Viet Aroma welcomes you to a taste of Vienna’s new, authentic Vietnamese cuisine," he said in a news release from the Town of Vienna's Town Business Liaison Committee. "We take pride in cooking only the freshest and premium ingredients for your ultimate dining experience."

"Our family chef guarantees satisfaction to all of our health-conscious and savvy patrons, ranging from vegans to meat-lovers," he said. "No matter what the occasion calls for or your appetite demands, everyone is guaranteed to have his/her own favorite dish.”

Members of the business community will gather from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the restaurant, located at 165 Glyndon St. SE in Vienna. The ribbon-cutting is set for 6:15 p.m.

The restaurant's hours are Sunday to Thursday from  11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Some Yelp reviews are already in on the new spot. Here are a few excerpts:

Mad M. says: "What a Great Surprise! This is now the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Vienna/Fairfax area. Clean comfortable dining area with a staff that is always nearby to make sure you glass is full and you are satisfied with your meal."

Jacob had this to say: "All in all, happy that a decent pho restaurant has opened so close near my office."

Megan says: "Highly recommend it, I thought it was just as good as vermicelli dishes at 4 sisters but a lot closer."

Mike had this to say: "We've been here twice, for dinner and for lunch. We tried a wide variety of dishes from steamed dumplings to soft shell crabs to three different Pho (pronounced "fu"), caramelized fish, shrimp dishes, beef and dessert. All terrific. Go and become a regular."

Just had their Crispy Spring Rolls, Seafood Grille Combo and Lemongrass Beef. All were fabulous. Definitely a very welcome addition to Vienna's restaurant scene. Jim & Margie Carson
