Three Vienna Area Restaurants Make Washingtonian's 100 Very Best Restaurants List

Kudos to three Vienna restaurants!

(Editor's note: We jumped the gun Wednesday with the news that Maple Ave made Washingtonian's Top 100 list; we were looking at Washingtonian's list online from last year and this year's story is only in the magazine out on newsstands; Maple Ave did make the list again this year, but there were actually three Vienna area restaurants that made the list this year. Sorry for the error.)

Three Vienna area restaurants have made Washingtonian's Top 100 Very Best Restaurants list, in the magazine, out on newsstands now.

Congratulations to owners, chefs and employees at: Alegria, Maple Ave and Nostos.

Alegria, located at 111 Church St., Vienna, recently announced changes to its menu; the restaurant opened in 2012. Washingtonian noted in its story not to miss the restaurant's queso fundido, mushroom and goat cheese taquitos, portobello-mushroom tacos with pumpkin seeds; short-rib enchiladas and passion fruit margaritas. No word on whether these items will remain on the newly tweaked menu. For more about Alegria, read: Made in Vienna: Alegria Coming to Church Street

Maple Ave, located at 147 Maple Ave W., Vienna, made Washingtonian's list last year and again this year. Washingtonian noted in its story not to miss the restaurant's creme fraiche chicken wings, chicken pate seared scallops with coconut risotto, Moroccan chicken mochi. The restaurant opened in 2009. Nostos, located at 8100 Boone Blvd., Vienna, in the Tysons area, serves up Greek food to the Tysons crowd, Washingtonian notes. The magazine says not to miss this eatery's grilled haloumi cheese, lentil soup, Greek-style meatballs, grilled swordfish skewers and baklava.
