True Food Kitchen Hits Mosaic in 2014

Health-focused restaurant scheduled to join growing list of eateries next summer in the Mosaic District.

True Food Kitchen will join the growing list of restaurants next summer in the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

Developed in collaboration with best selling wellness author Dr. Andrew Weil, True Food Kitchen will specialize in globally inspired, seasonal menus, according to a press release.

Ingredients for dishes served at the restaurant will come from local and regional farms.

“We are thrilled to have True Food Kitchen join Mosaic,” said Jodie McLean, president and chief investment officer of EDENS, a national developer responsible for growing the Mosaic District.

“Their values of wellness, genuine connection and high quality food are perfectly aligned with the already established Mosaic community,” McLean said.  “We believe they offer a unique dining destination of great atmosphere, healthy dining and great taste.”

According to DC.Eater.com, True Food Kitchen is part of Fox Restaurant Concepts. The group was looking for a place to open their first Washington, D.C. location, according to DC.Eater.com. According to the Fox Restaurant Concepts website, there are True Food Kitchen locations in Arizona, California and Colorado.
