Park After Dark

The third annual Park After Dark benefit for the C&O Canal is just around the corner, and it’s never too early to get excited about a party in the park! The C&O Canal Trust, the official nonprofit partner of the C&O Canal National Historical Park, will be hosting Park After Dark on Saturday, September 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at the Historic Great Falls Tavern in Potomac, MD.

The night will be full of hearty food and libations, a photo booth, a campfire, and dancing to live bluegrass and folk music from Chester River Runoff. You can also participate in both live and silent auctions as well as the second annual auction to support education in the park, which raised $20,000 last year.

There are more than enough reasons to come party under the stars in support of the C&O Canal. We can already smell the chili, taste the frothy beer, and feel the warmth of the campfire—or is that the rum-spiked mulled cider? Either way, our toes are warmed and ready for some foot-stompin’ and dancing to great tunes! You too? Well hang in there! Tickets will be available for purchase for $175, of which $125 is tax-deductible, at ParkAfterDark.org in July.
