Afternoon Robbery At United Bank Is Second In Just More Than A Month

Police responded to 226 Maple Avenue around 12:50 p.m. Saturday

A bank robbery at United Bank today was executed in the same manner as the robbery

Vienna Police responded to a report of a robbery at the bank, located at 226 Maple Avenue, around 12:50 p.m. Officers say a lone male suspect entered the bank, revealed a handgun and demanded money from a teller before leaving the building on foot. The amount of cash  he took is unknown, Police said. Nobody was injured.

The Fairfax County Police Department’s K-9 unit also responded to help track the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male, around 6 feet and 2 inches tall and around 180 pounds, wearing a black mask with eye slits, dark jeans and a dark wool cap.

On March 11, the bank was robbed in the same way. was described as  "as a black male in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black ski mask, black jacket, light-colored pants, black shoes, and carrying a black bag."

Vienna Police say they don't have anything to indicate that it's the same suspect at this time.
