1. Groceries for half the price at
Deal: Through Living Social, get a $20 Whole Foods voucher for $10.
Good through: Buy by 8 a.m. Wednesday, good through Dec. 13, 2011
2. Save big with a meal at Generous George's.
Deal: Pay $15 for a $30 voucher through FundsOn and benefit James Madison High School.
Good through: Buy by Thursday; enjoy through March 15, 2012
3. Surprise your princess, with help from Target
Deal: Target is teaming up with some special Disney princesses, making telephone calls to your little princess. Get started with Target online
Good through: No deadline that I could find
4. Enjoy a fat burger with the kids at Foster's Grille.
Deal: Kids eat free on Thursdays
Good through: Ongoing. Dine-in only.
5. More great consignment sales this fall
Deal: MOMS of Mantua, 8am to 1pm, September 17, at the Mantua Pool Clubhouse, 9330 Pentland Place, Fairfax. The sale is cash-only, with most items half price from 12:10 - 1:00pm. This sale features quality clothing (sizes newborn to teen as well as maternity): equipment such as strollers, car seats and high chairs; books, and toys. The prices are lower than you'll find at other consignment sales because each owner individually prices their items, and doesn't have to share a percentage with the "house." Come early for the best section.
Good through: September 17.
