Photo of the Day: Vienna Runs for Boston
Dozens gathered Sunday on the Vienna Town Green to honor Boston Marathon bombing victims.
Nearly a week after three people were killed and another 170 injured in the Boston Marathon bombings, Vienna residents gathered on the Town Green for a run to honor the tragedy's victims.
Vienna resident Kristen Overturf, who organized the run, said about 40 people showed up to run a mile on the W&OD Trail in the spirit of the Boston Marathon.
Some of those runners were 2013 Boston Marathon runners, Overturf said. One of them used the run as a way to finish the "last mile" of the race, she said.
