Traffic Tangles: Dulles Connector Closed Overnight

The Dulles Connector Road east at I-495 is closed nights through Thursday night for bridge work.  

Traffic will be directed to I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45B, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.

 I-495 south at Exit 49, I-66 will be closed Thursday through Saturday nights for milling and paving. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 49, I-66 west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right follow signs to I-66 east and then signs to I-495 north or south.

DULLES ROADS

• Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east from Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) to Idylwood Rd. overpass: Right lane closed Friday night for barrier movement.

LEESBURG/ Rt 123/TYSONS

• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west at Spring Hill Rd. Left turn lanes closed nights through Friday nights for milling and overlay. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east: Ramp closed nights through Friday nights  for road work. Traffic will be directed to continue east, make a U-turn at Tyco Rd. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and follow signs to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Marshall's Dr. Multiple single lane closures nights through Friday nights for signal work, traffic shift and barrier movement. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 15 minutes after midnight.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south at Tysons Blvd.Left turn lane closed nights through Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north from I-495 to Westpark Dr. overpass Two right lanes closed nights through Thursday night for utility work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west between Marshall H.S. and I-495 Left lane closed Saturday night for traffic shift.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east to I-66 west Ramp closed intermittently for up to 30 minutes after midnight nights through Saturday night for overhead sign installation.
• Galleria Dr. west at Tysons Blvd. Three left turn lanes closed nights through Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Galleria Dr. east at Tysons Blvd. Right turn lane closed nights through Saturday night for station work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Tysons Blvd. east at Galleria Dr. Two right lanes closed nights through Saturday nights for station work. Traffic will be directed to follow posted detour signs.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for concrete work.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) south from Capital One Dr. to I-495 - Right lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for bridge work.

Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47 A or B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west or east.
• I-495 north from Oak St. overpass to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) Three lanes closed nights through Saturday night for traffic shift, paving and barrier work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• I-495 north at Exit 49, I-66 Three right lanes closed Wednesday through Friday nights for bridge demolition and overhang work.
• I-495 north or south from Lee Hwy. (Route 29) overpass to Idylwood Rd. overpass Three lanes closed nights through Saturday nights for bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

• I-66 west to I-495 south Ramp closed Thursday - Saturday nights for paving. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St. south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-66 east to I-495 south.
• I-66 east general purpose ramp (right exit) or HOV (left exit) to I-495 north Ramp closed Thursday - Saturday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-66 east HOV ramp (left exit) or general purpose ramp (right exit) to access I-495 north.
• I-66 east from Exit 62, Nutley St. overpass to I-495 Three lanes closed nights through Thursday night for bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

Police will be on site for motorist safety. All closures are weather permitting.
