VDOT Plans Weekend Closure of 66 West Ramp To 495
Closure will be in effect until 5 a.m. Monday
The Virginia Department of Transportation will close the ramp from I-66 west to I-495 south/Capital Beltway (Exit 64) Friday night for demolition and paving work to reconstruct the ramp.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday. All work is weather permitting.
Traffic on 66 West can continue and exit at Exit 62, Nutley Street, getting back on 66 East to access I-495 south.
Drivers on 66 West should expect periodic delays approaching the I-495 interchange because of the closure, part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
