VDOT Seeks Input On 66 Improvements

Residents can review plans, offer feedback at Thursday night information session

Residents have the chance Thursday night to give input on plans for transportation improvements along the I-66 corridor from the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County to U.S. Route 15 in Prince William County.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will host an information meeting about the plans from 5 to 8 p.m. at the VDOT building, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax.

VDOT, the Federal Highway Administration and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation are developing a Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the corridor,  which will study the purpose, need and location of improvements, modes of travel and technology choices. A more narrowly focused Tier 2 study will explore the concepts in greater detail.
