Weekend Guide: Annual Town Cleanup Day, Whole Foods Grand Re-Opening

FRIDAY

It's Friday night, which means its time to kick off your shoes at Starting at 7 p.m. at , 107 Church St NE. Bring in old records to spin, or select from the shop's library and enjoy drinks and board games with friends and family.

at the American Legion Post 180, 330 Center Street N, welcomes Louis Neely for a performance starting at 7 p.m. Country, Pop, Oldies and a variety of "just very good music" will be played as part of the "Louis Neely Experience."

Whole Foods market unveils with a weekend full of activities. On Friday, the popular "5 after 5" returns, offering customers five plates of food and wine samples for $5.  It begins at 5 p.m. and runs until about 7 p.m.

There are two other music options in store for Friday concert-goers:

beginning at 8 p.m. at Jammin' Java, 227 Maple Ave E. Tickets are $30.

The Vienna Theatre Company presents "Rounding Third," which tells the "is the tumultuous journey of two Little League coaches through an entire season." The performance begins at 8 p.m. at the Tickets are $13 for adults, $11 for students and senior citizens over 65. 

SATURDAY

Vienna holds its Annual Town Clean Up Day, sponsored by Vienna’s Community
Enhancement Commission. Residents, families or groups can clean up their own neighborhood, or, check in at the Vienna Community Center to be assigned to an area of town that needs special attention. The cleanup will last from 9 to 11 a.m., rain or shine. Residents that check in at the Vienna Community Center will receive garbage bags and gloves. Whole Foods Vienna continues its grand re-opening weekend with live music during the day. Every hour from 11 a.m.to 6 p.m.: Free pizza for the first 20 customers to say the secret code word at customer service. How will you find out the word? Facebook.

The Vienna Quarterly Coin and Stamp Show comes back to town from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center.

Whole Foods Market Vienna concludes its grand re-opening weekend with a Whole Body Open House, which will showcase vendors and samples. The store will also be pouring champagne from noon to 3 p.m
