Forum for 35th District Delegate Race Set for Tuesday in McLean

Come hear what the candidates have to say on taxes, education, transportation, health, and/or the environment.

Vienna representative Del. Mark Keam (D-35th) and Republican challenger Leiann Luse will discuss taxes, education, transportation, health, and/or the environment in a forum Tuesday in McLean.

The McLean Citizens Association and the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce invites all voters in the greater McLean area to "Candidates Night" Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., at the Alden Theatre in the McLean Community Center

Wonder what those who are running to represent you in the Virginia House of Delegates would do about issues important to you? This is your time to find out.

Schedule of Events:
6:30 until 8:15 p.m.: Hear from and question the candidates running to represent the 35th and 53rd Districts

  • 35th District: Mark Keam (D), Leiann Leppin Luse (R)
  • 53rd District: Marcus Simon (D), Brad Tidwell (R), Anthony Tellez (Libertarian)

8:30 until 10 p.m.: Hear from and question the candidates running to represent the 34th and 48th Districts

  • 34th District: Kathleen Murphy (D), Barbara Comstock (R)
  • 48th District: Bob Brink (D)

Peggy Fox, WUSA/Channel 9 news anchor, will moderate. MCA and the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce will collect questions at the start of each session.

Volunteers Needed: The Chamber is looking for five volunteers to serve as ushers during the candidates forum. The ushers would volunteer from 6 until 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Alden Theatre at the McLean Community Center. Their duty is to help collect the index cards on which the audience members write their questions and then pass the cards to a chief usher.
