Ten Percent of Sales from June 17 to June 21 to Be Donated In Honor of Society’s 20th Anniversary

ARLINGTON, VA (June 10, 2013) -- Elevation Burger, the rapidly growing, national fast-casual restaurant known for its great-tasting, 100% USDA-certified organic, grass-fed, free-range beef burgers, today announced the grand opening of its sixth Virginia location in Vienna.  The 55-seat Elevation Burger will mark its official opening on Saturday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, FREE T-shirts to the first 200 guests, tastings and balloons.   Ten percent of all sales earned in the week leading up to the event (Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21) will be donated to the Autism Society of Northern Virginia (ASNV).

Franchisees Neeraj and Lisa Vohra, who also own the Elevation Burger in Arlington, Va., said, “We are honored that we can make this donation to ASNV in honor of its 20th Anniversary and are glad  we are able to use the store opening to help raise awareness of autism.  We see a lot of autistic children at Elevation Burger because of our gluten-free options.  It’s a family-friendly restaurant where those with gluten intolerance can come in and enjoy a lettuce-wrapped burger with organic bacon, our award-winning fresh fries (recently named “Best Fries” by Northern Virginia Magazine readers), and a beverage.”

Sarah Peterson, interim executive director of ASNV, said "The Autism Society of Northern Virginia is excited to be partnering with Elevation Burger and applauds their efforts to make gluten-free foods available to customers with gluten sensitivity."

Elevation Burger prides itself on an “elevated” experience and a fresh approach that puts people, planet and product ahead of profit. The franchised brand offers many healthier alternatives to standard fast food choices, including two variations of a veggie burger, lettuce-wrapped burgers, unprocessed, six-month-aged cheddar cheese, and cookies made with organic butter and eggs.  Elevation Burger is also the only better burger restaurant to feature organic, hardwood-smoked uncured bacon on its menu. In addition to specialty sodas such as Wild Bill’s Root Beer and Boylan’s Black Cherry, the Vienna location also features the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, which offers guests a choice of more than 120 soft drinks.

Elevation Burger, which now has 39 domestic and international locations, has been recognized by Saveur magazine as the nation's first organic hamburger chain since opening its original location in 2005.  It has also been recognized as one of the most innovative burger chains in the country, with AOL Small Business calling Elevation Burger the “Next Big Chain,” and The Food Channel dubbing it one of the “up and comers” in the better burger category.

Elevation Burger Vienna is located at 142 Branch Road SE, 22180; 703-865-7277.

Hours of operation:  Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
