Whether or not settlement is possible, once someone files a Complaint or Petition, you may find that you have been served with discovery—or that you need to serve the other side with it. The names and variety of discovery – Written Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Requests for Production of Documents and Notices of Deposition – can often be overwhelming and scary. Some of the requests can be highly complex. This is an opportunity to review some commonly issued discovery questions, which include references to multi-part statutes. How you respond to discovery has a significant impact on your case. Your response has an impact on what evidence you can present at trial and the cost of the proceedings.
Learn the different aspects of discovery, the rules that govern discovery and ways to approach discovery that may assist your attorney in streamlining your case, keep costs down and ensure that the evidence you believe is most relevant is preserved for trial.
Two dates available: January 30 & April 17
