Ocean Celtic

March 1st is the first day of Irish American Heritage month and the weekend before FAT TUESDAY.  So come out and celebrate two parties in one! Come in good voice, as you'll be invited to sing along on the choruses of songs both Irish and French. Wear your favorite Mardi Gras mask and beads, and/or your St. Paddy's Day green.  When these two great cultures collide, we'll let the good times roll!

Jennifer Cutting (accordions, piano, artistic director), Lisa Moscatiello (voice, guitar, whistle), Andrew Dodds (fiddle), andSteve Winick (voice) are known for their goosebump-raising performances and surprise-filled repertoire.  Composer and ethnomusicologist Jennifer Cutting culls through the Library of Congress’s Folk Archive to find rare ballads and tunes, giving them shimmering new musical shapes. Vocalist Lisa Moscatiello has a voice that Billboard magazine has called "one of the most gorgeous vocal instruments in all of folk-tinged pop."  Award-winning Andrew Dodds is a fiddle virtuoso in the lineage of Scotland’s most esteemed traditional musicians. Steve Winick’s earthy baritone and powerful delivery will root you to the spot. The Washington Post calls OCEAN “Nothing short of spellbinding….”   www.oceanorchestra.com
