Get Ready! Vienna Turkey Trot Sunday

Planning on running in this Sunday's annual Vienna Turkey Trot? You have until Friday at midnight to register online for the race. This year you can run in the 5k, the 10k and the children's one-mile fun run.

The host this year is the James Madison High School Band. The entry fee is: $40 for the 10k, $30 for the 5k and $15 for the one-miler.

Here's the scoop on the race:

WHERE: The 5k course starts at Cherry Street (to the side of the Fire Department), goes to Moore St, then to Cottage. The turnaround point on Cottage is at Patrick Street SW.

WHEN: Packet pickup is from 7-8 a.m. at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center St. South.

Race begins at 8:15 sharp; one-mile fun run starts at 9:15 a.m.
