Three Cars Burned in Early Morning Fire Near Marshall High School

Fire that caused $75,000 in damages started in one car and spread to two others, fire officials said

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue are investigating an early morning fire in Falls Church that caused $75,000 worth of damages to three cars.

Fire spokesman Capt. Will Bailey said firefighters were called to the 2200 block of George C. Marshall Drive at about 2:33 a.m. for a report of a fire. Bailey said firefighters arrived at the scene to find three cars in a parking lot ablaze.

George C. Marshall Drive runs adjacent to George C. Marshall High School, connecting to the school's main drive.

Bailey said the fire started in one car and spread to two others. He could not confirm if the car was intentionally set ablaze, but said the fire in under investigation.
