Gas Leak on Branch Road Cleared
Fire Department has leak controlled and cleaned in less than an hour
Update 3:02 p.m.: Construction crews working at the future Fresh Market location on Branch Road hit a gas line while working earlier this afternoon.
Around 2:45 p.m., Fairfax County Fire Lt. Schaub said the leak had stopped and was "all cleaned up."
The former That's Amore space, in the shopping center next to Giant Supermarket, is being renovated in preparation for the arrival of Fresh Market, a grocery retailer that focuses on high-quality products.
