Update: Hunter Mill Road Reopens After Flooding

Update 10:52 p.m.: The water has receded from the road. It is now open, a Fairfax County Police offical said.

Original 8:45 p.m.:Hunter Mill Road between Hunter View and Hunter Station roads remained closed at 8:45 p.m. Thursday night after flooding made the section of the commuter cut-through impassable.

Heavy thunderstorms closed Lawyers Road earlier in the evening, but it was reopened after the water was cleared.
