Man Charged with Reckless Driving in Echols Crash

A Vienna man has been charged with reckless driving following a crash in which a car ran into a home Friday night.

David Wei, 65, of Echols Street, stated he lost control of his vehicle while driving down his street, hitting a house and gas line, temporarily closing the street to traffic, said Officer Gary Lose, a spokesperson for the Vienna Police Department. 

Wei had non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lose said. The home's occupants were not injured, and the vehicle had no passengers other than the driver.
